How did you choose the name of your PET(s)? Donna asked this question.
Every monday morning, I am going to post the discussion question on the homepage. (They will not be taken down :).)
Also, what questions do you think I should answer the entire PETtell.com community? If I receive enough answers, I'll post two questions on Monday or one question on Monday one on Wednesday question.
Post pics / videos if you have them. Enjoy the week.
Actually whe choose the Name Milo for our Beagle because at the time (1992-circa...don't exactly remind it) there was the cartoon series of The Mask on TV, and we loved The Dog of the Mask, Milo, even if he was a Jack Russel!
Luckly whe don't own a magic wood mask that allows to our dog to transform in a greenie mad face, but he's just mad on his own when he sees other dog babes!
His second name is "Papino", it's so lovely to call him so while seeing him giggling next to us!
It's funnny I wanted a white shephard when I was a kid and wanted to name it Cain. I never got my shephard but when we bought Cain my husband and son who never knew about me wanting a white shephard asked me if we could name the husky puppy we were buying Cain. Of course I said yes because I have always liked the name since I was a kid. As for Frankie we did not have a name picked out but when we went and bought him in December we couldn't agree on a name. I just kept looking at his baby blue eyes and thinking of old blue eyes. I asked my husband what he thought about Frankie (named for Frank Sinatra) and he liked it. Thats how they became Cain & Frankie.
My dream vehicle has always been a GMC YukonXL Denali. When we decided to get a puppy and decided on a Siberian Husky, I thought the name Yukon would fit perfectly...while we were talking to the puppy's owners, we found out that the puppy's grandfather had been a champion and his name was Yukon!! At that point, I knew the name was perfect and it would stick and so we have... Yukon Denali!!
I searched long and hard for a name that referred to her mother's wild bloodline. The only thing i could find that really worked as a name (and sounded feminine) was OoKami. Is is an extinct breed of wolves found off some small Japanese island.
Nearly a year later, i discovered that there were also game/cartoon-move characters bearing the same name, and also having to do with wolves.
well she is soo small so i called her a wee kitty and shortened it to witty then for some reason she became witty woo woo. all i have to say is woooo and she comes runnin lol
My son and I recieved Precious when she was 8 weeks old she weighed 2 & 3/4 lbs and a ball of puppy fuzz. I would sit her in the palm of 1 hand too give you a idea of her size. She was just so adorable. Everyone said oh my when she gets bigger you can dress her and put pretty bows in her hair and make her so cute. Yeah right, We gave her first name as Precious her middle as PomPom with our last name. But when she got older If you put bows in her hair she would sling them off if you put sweaters or any clothing on her she would pull it off. So you see it was the perfect name for her. My son and I would laugh for hours because only Precious could pull that off.
Well, I named my eskie "Daisy" because she's white and it's my favorite flower. Sam got his name from my daughter. She said the name popped into her head as soon as she saw him.
