How did you pet get its name, and why did you pick that pet/breed?

Why we chose a Boxer dog ...

I'm allergic to cats (but I love them!). We have enough household members to keep things interesting, so we don't need exotic pets. Fish can't be walked and I enjoy having a walking partner. Birds would probably be scared into hiding with all the noise and commotion in our house. Dogs are people too, so that seemed like the best option for our family, LOL.

We chose the Boxer breed because they had great reviews for being good with children. Their high energy level is appealing to me because, again, I enjoy having a walking partner and Shaney is great motivation for getting exercise. The kids get tired out right along with her when they chase her around and play ball with her. And she's a big snuggler, which is a huge plus. Very little shedding and doesn't require a bath every time it rains or snows. The boxer breed really fits well into our family.

thx so much 4 sharing!! i agree with ur reasoning on y 2 get a boxer... our boxer was wondering the streets, so we didnt pick him, but in long run, we probably would have!! :)

I knew nothing about dog until i got a chance to own a boston terrier. He is a gift given by my boyfriend for my birthday. The very first time i laid my eyes on him i feel our connection and bound together, he is the greatest gift i got in my entire life. I named him on his certificate, TUKSO JR. TUKSO means TEMPTATION. A name after my bf call sign.

awww... thats so sweet!! my experience w/ lunchbox was different...
ever since i first saw boxers, i wanted one ^^ (lucky me)
so, it seemed too perfect wen my step dad found one on the streets (ears uncropped, tail cropped, just the way i like them)...
but, it was holloween wen we got him, and i was passing out candy, and he was just sitting by the screen door watching me...
and i was afraid of him!! :( he scared me, A LOT!! he was a jumped, and a nibbler, but soon, as we became friends, we learned 2 respect each other!! :)
so, thats ma fatty boy now!! lol

I have always loved the breed and finally came across a deal and time in my life where it was great to take on this little guy. It took awhile to decide on Dakotah and also the second half again took time being I wanted his dad and moms name involved. So I am decided and need to send in his paperwork. His offical name will be Hoffman's Dakotah Diamondrox. His dad was White Diamond and his mom Red Roxy.

Our family last name. We had a Brittany years ago and he was named Hoffman's Lucky Shadow, but we called him Rip...lol

so my dogs would be dwornick's lunchbox (since my step dad found him)
and my other dog would be anderson's naunnie (since she was my dog, and i kepy my real dads last name) :)

I guess I picked mine by liking Gwen Stefani's son, Kingston's name. I thought it was silly for a human but awfully cute for an animal. So when I bought my Pom I decided to name him Kingston =) My family is full of Yorkies and Poms. I personally like Pomeranians so I got one for myself........ They're way better anyway!! :P

There was a guy at work named Shane. I thought that was a cool name so I named my puppy Shana. Two months later I adopted Natasha. Just always liked that name.

But what's odd and coincidental is that their names can combine into an endless link...

my dog mia got its name from a film - eight below - good film you should watch it
i picked a dog because there so cudly and are always there when u need them
i am alergic to animals but my dog is made of wooool so therefor thats why i chose my beautiful dog
