btw, I am thinking about gettin a siberian husky some day, but it will probably be a while before I do that as I dont' have the money for one, and plus I already have my hands full with two dogs as it is.

I never thought that I would have a golden retriever before getting Teddy and later Tucker (Teddy passed away back in 2007 and Tucker is his successor).

Pros of having a golden:
- they have lots of personality
- they are usually friendly (not always of course) around other people and dogs
- great for people needing to get exercise
- they can be good prerequisites for having more advanced breeds like siberian huskies (since goldens too have lots of energy and want lots of attention).

- they do require lots of attention and will want you to throw the ball for them or take them for a walk, even when you are not in the mood for it (for example, when you are just getting up, coming home from work, etc)
- some goldens can get aggressive (while Teddy never got aggressive, Tucker has an aggressive side to him).

I don't know how old your dog is or what you wish t train your dog to do. I do know when training your dog you need to be patent and consistent. Speak your command only once; do not repeat it over and over.

Try and be realistic in what you expect of a dog depending on its age and how quickly you expect it to learn something. Understand you have to keep refreshing the dogs mind even if you have taught it something often, and that training is for the rest of the dog's life, it does not stop just because the dog is an adult.

Make sure you are taking your dog for a walk, by a walk since you have such an active dog I mean a fast pace walk of at least 2 miles every day and possibly twice a day. Going out in the yard is not enough! This dog will be have and train so much better after a walk. If this is not enough or if you have time for only one walk add a back pack with a water bottle on each side if it is an adult.

If it is a puppy, you will not need to walk it as far or as fat, but you will still have to walk it so long as it has had all of its shots, this means all of its parvo shots.

Martha is my first dog, I have wanted a Siberian Husky since I was a Kid and at the end of the Summer of 2009 I finally got one. She needs A LOT of training but I love her despite all her bad ways. Any tips on training a Husky??? PLEASE!!!
